Bladensburg 7-Eleven becomes Kwik-E-Mart
Twentieth Century Fox has teamed with 7-Eleven to turn 11 hand-picked locations into full-blown, real-life Kwik-E-Marts, of the fictional Springfeld, Illinois convenience store. The Bladensburg Kwik-E-Mart not only looks like a Kwik-E-Mart, but it sells Simpson's themed products. Thats right, Buzz Cola, KrustyOs cereal and Squishees, the slushy drink knockoff of Slurpees. Make sure to purchase a dozen pink-frosted donuts with sprinkles. They are quite tasty. The only problem I found is that I could not Duff beer anwhere. Throughout the store there are life-size Simpson characters. The Simpsons Movie is scheduled to be released July 27. 7-eleven spokespeople say they're not being paid anything by the makers of the film, but they are hoping to boost sales as a result of the transformation.

Washington Redskins vs Miami Dolphins
The Washington Redskins kicked off the 2007 NFL season with a 16-13 OT victory. The Redskins defense played outstanding, especially LB Rocky MacIntosh. Although the Redskins offensive line lost starting RT Jon Jansen to a season ending injury in the second quarter, Joe Gibbs and Al Saunders were able to spread out the Dolphins defense and control the game with 191 rushing yards.
"Are you in or are you out?" That is the question Coach Ralph Friedgen asked his players before the start of this 2003 Univ. of MD football training camp. Coach Friedgen got his answer only five days after the start of camp. His 2003 MD Terrapins squad is "in". The players are focused and determined to come out on top of the ACC Conference. Currently the Terps are ranked 13th in the country by the Bowl Championship Series. With the winning experience of the upperclassmen and the addition of talented incoming freshman, the Terps are going to prove that they are "in", and hoping to make college football history.
