Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Washington DC's cinema treasure, Uptown Theater, hosted the premier of Star Wars - 'Revenge of the Sith.' Fans of all ages dressed up in their favorite character, played games, watched Star Wars on DVD, and made new friends camping out along Connecticut Avenue days before show time to purchase coveted tickets. "This was the movie we'd been waiting for!"

Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Games of this magnitude have been rare for the Washington Redskins since the first Joe Gibbs era ended. In the second season of his second tenure with the Skins, Joe Gibbs has brought Washington back in the playoffs with a win over Philly 31 to 20. For the depleted Eagles, it was a fitting end to a miserable season. With McNabb and several other key starters sidelined by injuries and Terrell Owens banished from the team, Philadelphia was undermanned and overmatched. Following four straight trips to the NFC championship game, Philadelphia finished in last place in the NFC East with its worst record since going 5-11 in 1999, McNabb's rookie season and Andy Reid's first as Eagles coach.

2004 Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows
January 9-11, 2004 the Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows came to the Washington, DC convention center. The 2003/2004 show schedule started in San Francisco on November, 7, and traveled to Dallas, Seattle, Long Beach, Denver, New York, before Washington, then from DC the show went to Atlanta, Ohio, Chicago, Detroit, Daytona, and finally will end in Minneapolis March, 28.
2004 Fourth of July Celebration
There may have been torrential rains this Fourth of July on the Capitol, but that didn't stop many metropolitan area residents and out of towners from coming down to the Mall for the annual celebration. Though there was a rumor of cancellations due to inclement weather, people toughed it out. Finding shelter in overhangs or braving the rains with umbrellas and rain ponchos these families and friends enjoyed the company of good food, bands, and most importantly fireworks!
A Day At The Washington Capitals Training Facility.
DCpages was lucky enough to receive a private invitation to a workout with Washington Capitals strength coach Jim Fox, and players Michael Nylander and Dainius Zubrus. While the rest of the team was on the road for a game, Nylander and Zubrus were rehabilitating from injuries. We would like to thank both Jim and the players for allowing DCpages this exclusive look inside the Capitals organization.
The 14th annual Taste of Bethesda was held on Saturday October 4, 2003. Taste of Bethesda is a food and music festival, which is held in the heart of Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle. Over forty restaurants in the Bethesda area set up tents to give people a sample taste of their food. Children's activities, as well as street performers, entertained the crowd of over forty thousand people.
Fast moving storms with lightning, hail, and strong winds fell upon a hot and humid National Mall during the Fourth of July. But skies soon cleared, and the Independence day celebration continued throughout the night. The sprawling lands of the National Mall & Memorial Parks include the Mall, the public promenade extending from 3rd Street near the Capitol to 14th Street. The National Mall is the continuation of that space where congressionally authorized park icons, such as the Washington Monument, WWII and Lincoln Memorials stand.
Washington Capitals Training Camp
The Washington Capitals have their training camp in Odenton, Maryland. It is free to the public and there are two hour-long scrimmages and a practice afterwards. Fans got a rare opportunity to meet all of their favorite players in a fan-friendly atmosphere. DCpages own Kostas Pontikis will follow the CAPS this season starting from training camp and ending hopefully with the team winning the Stanley Cup.
Stanford and Navy met tonight for the first time since the two schools battled in 1965 which resulted in a 7-7 tie. Attendance announced as 35,670, the fourth-largest crowd to see a game at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium behind: 1. 36,172 vs. Air Force (Oct. 11, 1997), 2. 36,009 vs. West Virginia (Oct. 3, 1998) and 3. 35,753 vs. Air Force (Oct. 9, 1993). Marco Nelson scored three touchdowns for the Midshipmen and Karlos Whittaker ran for 110 yards on seven carries, becoming the first freshman in Navy history to have a 100-yard rushing game. The mission of the Naval Academy focuses on developing midshipmen morally, mentally and physically in order to provide leaders of character for the Navy and Marine Corps.
