Memorial Day was formerly known as Decoration Day. It just isn't a parade until a 1967 Mustang convertible rolls by.

I would love lead a parade through the streets of out Nation's Capitol. Yea! I think I'm really going to do it. Or maybe I should just buy the ornament from below, and say that I did!

The White House Ornament Collection presents The 2010 White House William McKinley Christmas Ornament.

Looking much like the band in this image, the scene depicted on this year's White House ornament commemorates the annual Army Navy Reception at the White House from the year 1900.

Only in America

Only in America could "The Boss" comment on "a Boss" (Mustang that is).
It has Weld racing wheels on it so I might dispute the 200k value placed on it because that alone makes it not "concourse condition."

The Badge of Merit

The Purple Heart was created in recognition of General George Washington's ideals and for the bicentennial of his birth. Created in 1932, the foundation is a revival of the "Badge of Merit" initiative of 1782.

"...By order of the President of the United States, the Purple Heart, established by General George Washington at Newburgh, August 7, 1782, during the War of the Revolution is hereby revived out of respect to his memory and military achievements."

By order of the Secretary of War:
Douglas MacArthur
General, Chief of Staff

In 1942, President Franklin Roosevelt signed an executive order allowing the Navy to award the Purple Heart to Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guard personnel.
