Splendid in deed...

Most impressive opulence. Our Queens deserves only the very best!

Our Valentine Table

Most elaborate place setting ever!

Wow! Thats one fancy setup. All that stuff for two people? Hows a guy supposed to keep up with that? Good thing my girl was happy with a genuine "I Love You, Honey" this year.

Hearts Of Amore

What the traditional heart shape actually depicts is a matter of some controversy. It only vaguely resembles the human heart. The shape could also be seen to depict features of the female body. However, the recognizably heart-shaped Silphium seed is the most probable source of the original heart symbol.

Why don't you get a Washington Monument ornament. That is masonic.

Washington Monument 1911 Photo Plate

Thats really DC 100 years ago?

Wow! There is nothing there but the Tiber Creek swamp. From what I understand, the Tiber Creek still exists but is now buried in a mysterious underground sewer system beneath the city.

Why not turn it into a sundial

The circle around the monument could be easily marked with time of day indicators. I don't think that General George Washington's memorial needs a sun dial, but it sure would be easy to do.

Frozen Potomac River

To the right of the Francis Scott Key Bridge you can just see the Georgetown University in the hills above the bridge. On the left side of the bridge, is Crystal City Virginia.

View of the South Portico of the White House Building taken from observation floor of the Washington Monument.

I saw a dog house fashioned to look just like the White House once. I wonder if anyone has made a copy of this building for themselves anywhere. It could be scaled down to average mansion size, yet maintain a nearly duplicate appearance.

I need Masonic anything.

I know GW was a Mason, and I know the Washington Monument has Masonic undertones, but does anyone know where I can obtain a Masonic-flavored keepsake? My grandfather was a free-mason and I want to give him a DC themed gift. Thanks in advance.
