The San Jacinto Monument is the tallest masonry structure in the world. It is dedicated to the people that helped win Texas' independence from Mexico.
It is the second tallest monument in the world behind the St. Louis' Gateway Arch.

White House Christmas Decorating Volunteer 2010

Dear Ms. Clark,

Both on Oprah's interview w/ President and Michelle Obama,
as well as on HGTV, I saw the opportunity to decorate the
White House and your need for volunteers to do so. I would
CHERISH the privledge to be part of your team in 2010. I am a Registered Nurse out of college and have spent many years in Medical Sales. Although not professionally trained in Interior or Floral Design, I am extroidinarily creative and have a perfectionist's eye for beauty. I can submit photos of our own home which I decorate for Christmas each year with passion and the true love of the season. I will look forward to your reply. Thank you Ms. Clarke and a very Happy and Healthy New Year to you and yours.
