Dogs do indeed see in colour. It is thought that the green - red portion of the spectrum is limited in dogs, meaning that they see red and green as shades of yellow and brown.

What??
Dogs do NOT see in black and white! They see in color too, it's just not as vibrant as how we see. Birds see even MORE vibrant colors than we do though.

What??
Dogs do NOT see in black and white! They see in color too, it's just not as vibrant as how we see. Birds see even MORE vibrant colors than we do though.
