Saw that in DC and it's pretty big for a deep blue diamond. The largest diamond ever discovered was actually found in South Africa in 1905. Before it was cut into hundreds of smaller gems(most found on the British Crown Jewels) it weighed more than 4000 carats. Recently in the same mine a diamond of almost 500 carats was found. This diamond, however, has an especially high level of clarity and clearness. It is valued at over 15 million dollars.

This beautiful blue diamond has a dark history behind it. It is said that whoever owned this diamond had to lose a lot in life. But the irony is that even though people are aware of the curse aligned to it, they get so mesmerized by it that they become ready to do anything to own it

wow, something that beautiful and precious just blows my mind, whoever who owned this diamond must have been the happiest person in the world

Second Week: The wheels on my car fell off
Third Week: My girlfriend left me
Fourth Week: My keys got lost
Fifth Week: I cut the damn thing to shreds

I think the reason the Hope Diamond is bad luck is because of Greed. People should hold back from it. Kind of like once you have this, it will be all you need. No need for hope when you own/have the hope diamond

Hm... I think that the biggest actual DIAMOND diamond is actually a south african diamond. There was one in 1905, which was turned into the 'star of africa' and one that's still being verified as a true diamond but is bigger than your hand. Honestly... wow. What would you even do with a diamond that big? Once again bringing us back to the hope diamond. 'guest', you are right, I think greed is what makes it so bad to own. It's just too desirable, you get obsessed with beauty and want to have it for your own, so you go to the limit and personally kill, say, 10 people in order to get it. Thus, we conclude the flaws of the Hope Diamond. Class dismissed.

I'm inclined to agree with you on your take on greed, guest.

According to legend, the original Tavernier Blue diamond was stolen from an eye of a sculpted Hindu goddess Sita, the wife of Rama, the Seventh Avatara of Vishnu.
This reproduction of Smithsonian's famed blue diamond has a hand cut glass center stone encircled by 16 prong-set Cubic Zirconia. 1 1/2" wide. Hope Diamond Replica $99
