The beautiful stained glass windows in Memorial Hall honor six patriots who were closely associated with Washington during his life. The windows were designed by the famed artist, Allyn Cox. Stain glass artist, Frederick Ludwig Leuchs, was commissioned by Allyn Cox to create the stained glass windows.
The Benjamin Franklin Window depicts him during his diplomatic mission in France at the age of seventy. The smaller panels show Franklin becoming a Mason in Philadelphia, in an audience with the King of France, in his printing shop, being made Grand Master, Franklin and his son performing the famous lightning experiment, and Franklin forming the first Library in Philadelphia in conjunction with the Junta Philosophic Society.
