As a large supporter of education in America, it was no surprise that First Lady Laura Bush choose famous children's stories as the theme for the White House holiday decorations. The theme was titled "A Season of Stories" and was combined with the spirit of the holidays. Mache characters included Harry Potter, Clifford, Curious George and many more. The State Rooms were decorated for guests to enjoy and the official White House Christmas tree was on display in the Blue Room. The President and the First Lady wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season.
