Reproduction Painting Of Rotunda Canopy
Reproduction of "The Apotheosis of (George) Washington" which is painted on the 'eye' of the Capitol Rotunda. The 4,664 square foot canopy/fresco painting depicts George Washington rising to the heavens through the clouds. Painted by Constantino Brumidi in 1865, some of the figures are 15 feet high so as to be legible from the Rotunda Floor which sits 180 feet below.
