Lincoln Towers.................The Best Of Ballston

http://www.lincolntowersapt.com

Let your steps take you out onto the full-sized balcony of your Lincoln Towers apartment home and you’ll find a world of compelling reasons to go out, awaiting your pleasure literally at your feet. Will you shop at Ballston Commons? Dine at one of the fine restaurants in the area? Maybe you’ll walk the few steps to the Ballston Metro station and avail yourself of all that downtown has to offer.Still, there are as many equally compelling reasons to stay home and enjoy life at Lincoln Towers. Your apartment has all the living space you could ever wish for. You’re sharing that space with a host of lavish features, created for both comfort and convenience

I have to be honest and tell you that when I first moved this area I ignored what people told me about Lincoln Towers. I read Internet reviews that spoke of the unhelpful and occasionally abusive front desk staff, the peculiar odors that seem to come from everywhere when it rains or gets humid or the ridiculous policies of the complex. I ignored all of them because I saw the decent amenities, the close proximity to the metro station and the surrounds stores and restaurants. Yes, I ignored the warnings and now I'm paying for it. Please, don't make the same mistake I did.

Since I have moved in:

I have had my vehicle towed for bogus reasons. As many other people will attest, they get a solid kickback on towings from the property so they strongly encourage the towing company to patrol on a nightly basis. Cars are towed for little or no reason whatsoever. And the process to obtain a parking pass is like applying for a passport (do they really need my insurance card and registration just to give me a parking permit?).

If you're unfortunate enough to be one of the people who gets their car towed (BTW, I had a parking pass and I pay monthly for the right to park there)then you get the significant displeasure of dealing with their completely apathetic and unhelpful staff. They've even gone as far as to call me a racial slur right to my face and yell at me right in front of other tenants. The management's reaction? "We'll handle the matter internally and how we do that is none of your business".

Scarred yet?

It only gets worse. Obviously concerned about the way they treat customers here, I contacted their parent company, Archstone-Smith in Colorado, and expressed to them my concern over the actions of their staff in my building. As an executive in professional services firm I appreciate when one of my clients brings a serious issue like this to my attention so it can handled appropriately. If a client of mine brings a concern to me I make sure that I do what is takes to ensure that client is satisfied.

Archstone-Smith's reaction? A "Notice To Vacate" scotch-taped to the front of my door.

If you're going to live in Arlington, chances are you're going spend a significant amount of money (over $1500.00 a month in my case) for not a whole lot. If you're going to spend that kind of money for a small apartment, at least find a building that will treat you, the customer, with at least some level of respect and dignity.

You won't find any at Lincoln Towers.
