American University is located on Ward Circle, at the intersection of Massachusetts and Nebraska Avenues, NW, in Washington, DC.

In Washington, D.C. we have access to a variety of different ways to get around the city. The University is close to three major airports and Amtrak’s Union Station is only one mile away. D.C.’s Metro Rail system–considered one of the safest and most user-friendly systems in the country–recently opened a new station on the red line about five blocks from the campus.
