- The 2nd Annual Cherry Blossom Rally will be held on April 5-8, 2001. It will take place at the Rogers' 140 acre farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This site is an ideal location because of its close proximity to Washington DC, Baltimore AND Annapolis, Maryland.

- In 1912, 3020 cherry trees were donated in the name of the city of Tokyo to our Nation's Capital. In the spirit of this grand gesture the National Park Service is asking private citizens and public-spirited organizations to donate funds to allow for the replacement of the``historic elms, cherries, and other shade and flowering trees as they succumb to disease or old age.

- The Parade of Lights will begin at the Municipal Pier at 8:00 p.m. The boats will parade in the channel, along the Water Street waterfront. Following the parade, a reception will be held at Capital Yacht Club for all participants.
