Featured ListingsFarfelu Vineyards - Virginia's First WineryNestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just 60 minutes west of DC, Farfelu has been producing artisan wines since 1975. Tastings are offered in its unique 1860s dairy barn turned winery. Recent renovations have added a new deck with bistro tables and market umbrellas where visitors can enjoy views of the nearby mountains as well as the vineyards. Visitors can also hike along the Rappahannock River or challenge each other to law games like bocce ball, volley ball and horseshoes. The winery is open year-round, Thursday through Monday, from 11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Tours are offered at noon on Saturdays and Sunday and other times by appointment. Large groups are asked to call ahead.
