Fairfax Trails And StreamsIn heavily-developed Fairfax County, stream valleys are our last opportunity to create a long network of interconnected off-road trails. Yet such trails, where they exist at all, are fragmented and disconnected. Fairfax Trails and Streams (FTAS), a grassroots trail and environmental advocacy group, aims to create this network, and help protect the watershed. Our primary projects are the Pimmit Run Trail in McLean and the Fairfax Cross-County Trail.
