Cameron's Seafood Market

http://www.cameronsseafood.com

Both as a seafood market and as an inexpensive restaurant serving seafood, this establishment doesn't get the respect it deserves. Located in the high-rent heart of Bethesda, it nevertheless serves good seafood at bargain prices. Diners order at a counter, eat with plastic utensils, and clear the tables themselves, but the setting, with colorful photomurals of seafood, is attractive. A large case of fish on ice along one side of the market lends assurances that the raw ingredients are indeed fresh.

H2O

http://h2odc.com/

The space on the Southwest waterfront that housed Hogate's restaurant for decades got a major makeover and was reborn as H2O in December 2003. Local nightclub impresario Abdul Khanu, owner of Platinum and the now-defunct VIP Club, is the man behind the restaurant and lounge. The 42,000-square-foot space is decorated with colorful paintings created for the restaurant by a local artist. And although the space is large, dimly lit tables and circular booths create intimate nooks.
