- Pools are open from June 20 - September 3 at all locations. The District's 20 large outdoor pools are open Saturdays and Sundays noon to 7 through June 17. Summer hours, Monday through Friday 1 to 8 and Saturdays and Sundays noon to 7, begin June 20. Unless otherwise noted, admission is free and open to residents and nonresidents. The District also operates smaller neighborhood pools geared toward children ages 12 and younger; call for locations or visit the D.C. government Web site.
