District of Columbia : Pool Locations and Hours top site
Pools are open from June 20 - September 3 at all locations. The District's 20 large outdoor pools are open Saturdays and Sundays noon to 7 through June 17. Summer hours, Monday through Friday 1 to 8 and Saturdays and Sundays noon to 7, begin June 20. Unless otherwise noted, admission is free and open to residents and nonresidents. The District also operates smaller neighborhood pools geared toward children ages 12 and younger; call for locations or visit the D.C. government Web site.

Arlington County Community Swimming Pools
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Resources operates three indoor pools which are located at local high schools. Whether you are interested in simply taking a dip, learning to swim or competing, we have a variety of programs from which to choose.

Chesapeake Beach Water Park
Children's activity pool, 12' floating gator, 12' floating snake, seashell slide, Dreamland River, slides for all ages, volleyball net. The use of tubes is free. Age 2 and under admitted free. Anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an older person. No outside food or drink allowed. Swimming lessons available. Every Tuesday is Grandparents Day - Grandparents get in free with paid admission for grandchildren. Ask about our evenings and senior evening rates (weekdays only)! George Washington Recenter
Located at 8426 Old Mount Vernon Road in Alexandria, the recenter has a heated indoor 25 meter pool with a poolside spa, beach and wading area, saunas, showers and fully equipped locker rooms.

Great Waves at Cameron Run Regional Park
A 17,500-square-foot wave pool highlights this water park, which also features a water playground with floating animals, slides, rain jets and a waterfall over natural rock formations. A 40-foot-high water slide for visitors 48 inches and taller features three twisting body flumes. The park also boasts miniature golf, batting cages and fishing. Open weekdays 1 to 7 and weekends 11 to 7 through June 15; daily 11 to 7 June 16 through Aug. 10; weekends 11 to 7, weekdays to be announced Aug. 11 through Sept. 3. Daily admission is $10.50 for persons 48 inches and taller, $8.50 for persons under 48 inches and age 60 and over. Admission after 4 on weekdays is $5.75 and $4.75. Children younger than age 2 are admitted free at all times. Inner tube rental is $3.25, plus a refundable $2 deposit.

The Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole
The Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole offers more than an acre of slides, flumes, sprays, showers, floatables and interactive play features, circled by Rattlesnake River with a 2.5 mile per hour current that gently nudges tubes along. A bit of the old west is recreated here. Kids careen off covered wagons, float on rattlesnakes and dash through showers tipped from water-filled ore carts.

Upton Hill Regional Park Swimming Pool
This large recreational pool features colorful tube slides. The Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NVRPA) location also offers miniature golf and batting cages. Through June 15, open weekdays 1 to 7, weekends 11 to 7. June 16 through Aug. 10, open weekdays 10:30 to 7, weekends 11 to 7. Aug. 11 through Sept. 3, open 11 to 7 weekends (weekday hours to be scheduled by July 24). Admission is $4.50 for ages 12 to 59, $4 for ages 2 to 11 and 60 and older, and free for ages younger than 2. Weekday admission three hours before closing is $2.75 for adults and $2.50 for children and seniors, free for ages younger than 2.

Water Park at Bohrer Park
Summer fun can be had by all at The Water Park. The main pool has several activity pods which include lap swimming and a rain drop umbrella. The pool is zero-depth entry, thereby accessible to all. ``A major attraction at The Water Park is the double water slide that is 250 feet long and twists and turns into the splash pool.
