Montgomery County Parks
Montgomery County's park system offers a wide variety of facilities for all ages and abilities. The smaller neighborhood parks are within walking distance of your community. Local parks are popular with youth and adult league teams who frequent the ball fields in spring and fall. These parks also feature playgrounds, tennis courts, and multi-use courts. Stream valley parks are great places to find sections of our magnificent trail system, with recreational areas scattered along the streams. Recreational parks are intensely developed with lots of tennis courts and ball fields. Our largest parks are called "regional" parks, which include a wide selection of facilities. Of course, we also have preserved several thousands of acres as "conservation parks," which have remained undeveloped and in their natural state.
