- Originally, folk music was the primary interest of this band. As time passed, the sound developed into a more funky/folk feel. At a house party, hosted by Kevin Shulte (now manager), Captain heard the funky sounds of the trio (Barte, B-Luv, P-Fritz) and brought his horn to sit in on a couple of tunes. He has been playing with the band ever since. With the addition of the Captain, an acid-fusion/funk/folk sound has developed - truly some of the most unique vibrations to occupy the same space. This is what has become known as the acid-fusion grooves of West Water Street.
