banner is viewed and how many visitors connect to your web site.
Banner Exchange Guidelines
Because
of the growing number of submissions to DC Banner Exchange, we have put
in place some guidelines to follow before submitting your site.

Submit pages for sites that are based in the Washington DC, Maryland, and
Virginia areas. We only accept sites that are in the 202, 301, 410, and
703 area codes.
3.
Submit Sites that are content-rich and have significant information. Some
of these might include: original content sites, artistic sites, information
resources, government sites, travel/community/region guides, significantly
redeveloped sites, corporate presence, local businesses, and entertainment
sites. If you think your site has merit but are unsure of it, submit it
anyway and we will use our judgement.*
4.
Do not submit sites for Sex services, single product advertisments, and
"Get Rich Quick" schemes.
5.
Banners must be 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels tall and not exceed 10k files size. Here is an example to use as a reference.

What's
The Catch?
1.
DC Banner Exchange code must be displayed on your web site's Home Page. This gives all participating web sites even advertising exposure.
Filling
out and submitting of the DC Banner Exchange form does not guarantee application
on the DC Banner Exchange program. Submissions should be considered candidates
for inclusion. However, we have never refused a submission that followed
the suggested guidelines.
