The National Mall's design came directly from Pierre L'Enfant's original
vision of long, wide avenues stretching through the Nation's Capital. It's
one of the most heavily visited areas of Washington, DC, and is the campus
of the world famous Simthsonian Institution. The Mall is also home to some
of the most important buildings and monuments in United States
