HEALTHFESTÔ is a community-based initiative to increase access to health care and reduce health disparities in Prince George's County. This annual event has been designated as a national model for community organizations to reach the U.S. Surgeon General's vision for 100% health access and zero health disparities in America by 2010. HEALTHFESTÔ is more that a 1-day fun-filled festival; it is a national campaign that connects Federal, State, County and local governments with the community. The health disparities are: cancer screening and management, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, HIV Infection/AIDS, infant mortality, and immunization.
