- An all-Korean meal at Yee Hwa starts very well with an order of man doo, half-moon-shaped fried dumplings that are a plumper version of the Japanese dumplings called gyoza. These glisten with a little too much cooking oil, but their crispy-fried sides and well-seasoned stuffing almost make up for that. The other winning Korean starter is a pancake--served in a portion generous for two--stuffed with mixed vegetables and seafood. Cut into bite-size pieces, it is delicious finger food to accompany one or another of Yee Hwa's main-course soups.
