Sinfonia presents the period instrument woodwind quintet Circa 1800, performing works just on the cusp between the baroque and classical eras, for the annual chamber music concert. Circa 1800 presents gorgeous musical sonorities rarely heard from other wind quintets, stemming from a perfect tenderness of touch, a careful and diligent focus on pitch, and a palate of colors that modern instrumentals simply cannot produce.
