The Church of the Holy Comforter is located in Vienna, Virginia (near Washington, D.C) in the Diocese of Virginia. We are a large and vibrant Episcopal parish nestled on fourteen acres of land that offer a peaceful refuge and sense of connectedness in a metropolitan area known for its hectic pace and daily pressures. We have a long history in three different locations here in the Town of Vienna, and we celebrated our 100th anniversary in 1995.

Saint Mark's is a spiritual community in which we are gathered to celebrate the gifts of God that empower us to engage boldly in the struggles of life, to care for each other, and to serve Christ where we live and work.

On the third Sunday of October, 1911, with an Evensong service, St. Patrick’s Mission came into being, principally to serve Episcopalians in what was then the upper northwest section of Washington at the dawn of the automobile era.

Located just above the intersection of Wisconsin and Massachusetts Avenues NW, theCathedral is a place of relative majesty and peace. The gothic architecture is pretty darn impressive to those of us who haven't made it overseas yet.

Standing higher than the Washington Monument, theCathedral crowns fifty-seven acres at the city's highestpoint, a living symbol of our country's heritage ofreligious freedom and faith.
