Community Family Life Services is a non-profit organization that facilitates the personal growth, independence and integration into a healthy community for our clients, including homeless and low-income families and individuals of the District of Columbia. Through our five program areas, including Community Services, Employment, Housing, Community Organization and Youth Services, CFLS provides a network to address, in a comprehensive and holistic way, the many challenges faced by low-income and homeless people in Washington, DC.

Animal rights organization, Compassion Over Killing, welcomes all volunteers interested in building a more compassionate world.

Crisislink provides a 40 hour volunteer training program and requires a 120 hour commitment for volunteers who will de-escalate crisis, prevent suicide and provide information and referrals for people in the Greater Washington Metropolitan area.

The D.C. Law Students in Court Program (LSIC) is one of the oldest and most highly regarded clinical programs in Washington D.C. . It is the unique program of a consortium of law schools with students from five D.C. law schools participating.LSIC civil division students represent low income clients in landlord-tenant and other civil matters in D.C. Superior Court and local administrative agencies. LSIC criminal division students handle criminal misdemeanors and juvenile cases in D.C. Superior Court.

N Street Village was founded in response to these needs. An interfaith community, N Street is an urban oasis, a place of hospitality, welcome and shalom. Our programs include a day center for homeless women, night shelter, addiction recovery program, group homes for women living with mental illness and a Wellness Center. Services for low-income working families and individuals include affordable rental housing and daycare.
