Founded in 1954, the American-Austrian Society, Washington, DC is a non-profit organization whose objectives are to encourage and support the perennial friendship between the United States and Austria, to promote the understanding of Austrian culture, and to assist both American and Austrian institutions in bringing educational programs about Austrian arts, science, and trade to the Washington metropolitan area.

The NCSS includes 50 States in the Union and 5 U.S. Territories, including theCapital City of Washington, DC. The NCSS is the main sponsor of the Princesses Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC., every year. Each year,the American Samoa Society sponsors a Princess who represents the Territory of American Samoa in the Annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Our membership is open to all Samoans, Americans and anyone who has visited, worked or has an interest in meeting the Samoans and learning about their rich culture and tradition.
